“An Evening Together” is a special evening of worship fill with music, prayer and encouragement. With the summer ending and our children transitioning back to school, we felt an evening together focused on giving it all back to God is what our hearts need.
There is a unique purpose behind this event. We have recently partnered with Interfaith Works Women Center in providing meals and other necessary items to all the courageous women at the center. What an amazing opportunity for us to not only pray or think about people in need, but to have the opportunity to make a difference within our own neighborhood. Our desire is to not only provide meals, but also be able to provide resources and other necessities (women, you know how many items are so important to us for self care) to all the women at the center. To be able to do this over an extended period of time we rely on donations from so many generous people like you. There will be a special time for an offering during the evening to collect funds. This event is absolutely free, however, we do request that you register and obtain a ticket for the event. This event is taking place in our headquarters and entry to the building will only be possible with a ticket. The parking garages are free for up to 2 hours. For those considering donating, here are some typical donation breakdowns. These numbers are approximations as the cost of food, fuel, and other charges has been changing so much lately. Also, for one month means “once” in a month. Our goal with InterFaith Works currently is to take care of one day per month for a year, for all of their women.
One meal / care goods for one person, for one month is approximately $25.
One meal / care goods for one person for a year is approximately $300.
Our goal is to take care of approximately 80 women, once a month, for one year. That would ultimately cost us $24,000. We would love to see this happen.
