Encouraging Bibles Verses for Moms

This post is especially for all my Mamas out there.  I know for me, while motherhood is beautiful and having our children is THE miracle we have been praying for, motherhood was a challenging time. It feels like everything changed in an instant. The routine, the marriage, the communication, the priorities, self-care…a lot of things change and a lot more unexpected things happen in such a short amount of time.

 

For me, those first three months postpartum were the toughest. I thank God for my husband who would observe and knew when to call in friends, when to suggest a walk or when to suggest going to my in-law’s house for a change in scenery. If you find yourself in that season now, know that you are not alone and that you can reach out anytime. One of the best advice I received was: “There is no right or wrong way. There is only YOUR way.” And that has brought me comfort because I am so good at comparing or seeing certain Moms on social media and think how I am doing it all wrong. But Mama, know that your best is enough. Know that God knew your child needed the gift of YOU and your presence – everything else is extra!

 

Here are some Bible verses to help get you through motherhood. You can read this way after postpartum…truly, it can lift you up anytime.

 

 

·      “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

·      “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.” – Isaiah 66:16

·      “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6 (If God called you to be a Mom and has provided the blessing, then you will see it through Mama)

·      “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

·      “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” – Psalm 91:4

·      “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” – Proverbs 31:25

·      “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16

·      “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23

·      “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.” – Psalm 23:1-2

·      “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14

 

Know that I am praying for you in this very moment. Know that this season won’t last forever, so while it is tough, find moments where you can cherish the joy that shines through. You got this, because He has you!
